With 5,04,813 votes, Raveendranath managed to gain 43.02 per cent of the total votes in Theni constituency in Tamil Nadu resulting in a landslide win.
OPR is son of Tamil Nadu deputy chief minister O Panneerselvam and AIADMK’s only MP in the Lok Sabha, Supporter say that his victory was a result of a robust traditional campaigning along with a strong digital media strategy adopted by OPR. He has worked his way up in the party by dedicatedly working for over 20 years. This rich form of experience has led him to understand the pulse of his voters and understand their demands better said a smiling voter.
To connect with the voters personally, OPR with his team carefully planned over 85 rallies in months leading up to the elections. He personally spoke to a lot of voters and discussed all the issues faced by them. OPR maintains that his main focus would continue to further the interests of Tamil Nadu and its populations’ demands at the Centre. Prime Minister Mr. Narender Modi himself
came to Theni to campaign for OPR.

OPR assured the voters that he would be the voice of Tamil Nadu in the Lok Sabha. He would play the role of the bridge between the Central Government and the population of Tamil Nadu.
