New Delhi 02 March (VNI) Sarojini Naidu  also known as the "Nightingale of India" and "Bharat Kokila," was a prominent Indian politician and poet who played a significant role in the Indian independence movement against British rule. After India’s independence, she became the first Governor of the United Provinces. Her poetry is considered an invaluable part of Indian literature, and her contributions to both the independence movement and literature were highly significant.
