New Delhi 27 Nov. (VNI) Harivansh Rai Bachchan was an Indian poet and writer, a prominent figure in the 'Nayi Kavita' (New Poetry) literary movement of early 20th-century Hindi literature. Born on November 27, 1907, in Prayagraj (then Allahabad), Bachchan made an indelible mark on the world of Hindi poetry with his profound and evocative works.

He is best known for his early work Madhushala, a poem that has become a classic in Indian literature. The poem's lyrical beauty, along with its exploration of life, struggle, and philosophical themes, has earned it a permanent place in the hearts of readers.
