18 Dec (VNI) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Swarved Mahamandir in Umaraha, Varanasi, on Monday, marking a momentous occasion for spiritual and cultural enthusiasts. The sprawling temple complex, standing at seven floors with a capacity for 20,000 devotees, is now a breathtaking addition to the cultural and spiritual landscape of the holy city.
The inauguration ceremony witnessed PM Modi paying homage to the statue of Maharishi Sadafal Dev Ji Maharaj and conducting a comprehensive tour of the temple complex. Addressing the gathering, he reflected on the profound impact of Vihangam Yog Sadhna and expressed gratitude for being part of the centenary celebrations of Akhil Bhartiya Vihangam Yog Sansthan.
PM Modi emphasized the transformative journey led by Maharshi Sadafal Dev Ji and highlighted the significance of the 25,000 kundiya Swarved Gyan Mahayajna, expressing confidence in its contribution to the strength and development of Viksit Bharat.
Describing the Swarved Mahamandir as a modern symbol of India's social and spiritual strength, PM Modi praised the collective efforts of the government, society, and Sant Samaj in the transformation of Kashi. He underscored the temple's role as a captivating example of divinity and grandeur, labeling it a 'Yoga and Gyan Teerth.'
Reflecting on India's rich heritage, the Prime Minister emphasized the historical pursuit of material progress through spiritual and humane symbols. He drew attention to the revival of symbols of faith, such as the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Mahakal Mahalok, Kedarnath Dham, Buddha Circuit, ongoing work on the Ram Circuit, and the soon-to-be-inaugurated Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
PM Modi stressed the importance of holistic development, incorporating social realities and cultural identities, citing Kashi's rejuvenation as a positive example with a notable impact on the economy and job creation in the city.
In his concluding remarks, the Prime Minister outlined nine resolutions for Azadi Ka Amrit Kaal, urging citizens to contribute to water conservation, promote digital transactions, enhance cleanliness efforts, support indigenous products, explore India, raise awareness about natural farming, include millets in daily life, prioritize sports, fitness, or yoga, and support at least one poor family to eradicate poverty.
The event was attended by Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister Narendra Nath Pandey, Sadguru Acharya Swatantradeo Ji Maharaj, and Sant Pravar Vigyandeo Ji Maharaj.
The Swarved Mahamandir, with its intricate marble carvings and towering lotus-shaped domes, is not just an architectural marvel but a symbol of Varanasi's rich cultural heritage seamlessly blended with modern design elements. As the temple stands tall in Umaraha, it beckons devotees and admirers alike to witness the spiritual and cultural revival it represents.
