New Delhi 29 June (VNI)The Waste to Wonder Park in Delhi draws inspiration from Kota's Seven Wonders Park, which gained widespread recognition and admiration after its appearance in the Bollywood movie "Badrinath ki Dulhania." This cinematic portrayal of Kota's park sparked immense interest and curiosity, paving the way for the inception of the remarkable Waste to Wonder Park in Delhi.

Each replica within the park has its own unique story, embodying the spirit of creativity, ingenuity, and sustainability. As visitors explore the park, they are captivated by the exceptional craftsmanship and artistry that transform discarded waste materials into awe-inspiring wonders.

Take, for example, the Statue of Liberty replica that stands tall at approximately 35 feet. Composed of a captivating blend of old car parts, discarded benches, and metal sheets, this sculpture is a testament to the fusion of creativity and recycling. The Roman liberty goddess holds a tablet carved from a Municipal Corporation bench in her left hand, while her right hand wields a torch meticulously crafted from an old bike and its chain. Even her hair, an intricately detailed feature, is ingeniously crafted using repurposed cycle chains, adding a touch of whimsy to the overall composition.

At 25 feet, the Christ the Redeemer replica emerges as another remarkable masterpiece. Incorporating elements such as electric poles, motorcycle chains, and engine parts, this sculpture captures the iconic pose and serene expression of the original statue in Brazil. The resourcefulness and imaginative use of discarded materials breathe life into the replica, showcasing the limitless potential of recycling and upcycling.

The Eiffel Tower replica, an imposing structure towering at an impressive 60 feet, exemplifies the extraordinary craftsmanship involved in its construction. The replica's framework is ingeniously crafted from wrought-iron lattice, while various other automobile waste materials such as clutch plates and truck components contribute to its intricate design. Mirroring the construction process of the original tower, the replica's three floors were assembled separately and later joined together with the aid of a crane, a testament to the meticulous attention to detail and dedication of the artists involved.

Meanwhile, the Taj Mahal replica, standing at a height of approximately 20 feet, beckons visitors with its exquisite beauty and intricate detailing. From 1,600 repurposed cycle rings to electric pole pipes, old pans, park benches, swings, and truck springs, a myriad of discarded items find new purpose in this stunning recreation of the iconic Indian monument. The artists' skill and artistry are evident in the creation of domes using two pipes and the meticulous incorporation of truck sheets to form intricate designs, window frames, and door frames.

As visitors explore the Waste to Wonder Park, they bear witness to the incredible transformation of waste materials into mesmerizing works of art. The Waste to Wonder Park in Delhi stands as a testament to the power of imagination, resourcefulness, and sustainability. It invites visitors to embrace the beauty that emerges when creativity meets the potential hidden within discarded materials, leaving a lasting impression of awe and inspiration.
