New Delhi 11 April (VNI) 'The Central Jail Restaurant' in Bengaluru is breaking the norms of traditional dining by offering a one-of-a-kind experience that is both unique and unforgettable. Situated in HSR Layout, the restaurant is designed to resemble a prison, complete with waiters dressed as inmates and men dressed as cops to guard customers. The plates used in the restaurant also mimic those used in prisons, adding to the overall theme. The restaurant has gained immense popularity in the city and is considered to be the first-ever jail-themed restaurant in Karnataka.
Recently, businessman Harsh Goenka visited the restaurant and shared a clip of his experience on Twitter. The video shows a man entering the restaurant through a door made of black iron rods, resembling a prison gate. The customer is greeted by a waiter dressed in a jail inmate's uniform, who takes his food order. Customers can even take photos in spots where they mimic police officers and inmates and even get handcuffed behind bars.
The restaurant's social media handles reveal that it was relaunched from Jayanagar to HSR Layout in July last year. Since then, the unique theme of the restaurant has attracted a lot of attention, with Goenka's tweet amassing over 37,000 views since it was shared on Friday. Despite the restaurant's theme, customers have praised the food, with a customer in the background of the video saying that the food, such as Andhra chicken, chicken tikka, and chappati, is delicious but too expensive.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a unique dining experience in Bengaluru, Central Jail Restaurant is the place to be. Although dining behind bars may not be everyone's cup of tea, the novelty of the theme and the high-quality food are worth a visit. The restaurant offers a perfect blend of novelty and gastronomic delights, making it an excellent option for those who want to try something new.
