New Delhi 10 April (VNI) The 15th match of IPL 2023 is set to take place between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. While the Super Giants have won two of their three matches, RCB is yet to find its rhythm after suffering a humiliating defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders in their previous game. The home side needs to improve significantly with the bat and their bowlers also looked pale, leaving a lot of room for improvement.
On the other hand, Lucknow Super Giants will be confident ahead of the game, with Mark Wood expected to make his return to the playing XI. Although KL Rahul's form is a matter of concern, he always proves his class against RCB. With Quinton de Kock returning after his international commitments, he is likely to open the innings alongside Rahul, while Kyle Mayers will probably bat at number three.
Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is known to help the batters dominate, and one can expect a high-scoring match. The captain winning the toss should elect to bowl first, and a score of above 180 would be considered good on this pitch.
In terms of probable playing XIs, RCB is expected to play Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, Mahipal Lomror, Michael Bracewell, Dinesh Karthik, Shahbaz Ahmed, David Willey, Karn Sharma, Harshal Patel, and Mohammed Siraj. LSG is likely to play KL Rahul, Quinton de Kock, Kyle Mayers, Deepak Hooda, Nicholas Pooran, Krunal Pandya, Amit Mishra, Mark Wood, Yash Thakur, Jaydev Unadkat, and Ravi Bishnoi.
In terms of probable best performers, Virat Kohli can be considered RCB's best batter, while Mark Wood, who is currently holding the IPL Purple Cap after picking up eight wickets in two matches, is LSG's probable best bowler. All in all, it promises to be an exciting encounter between the two teams.
