Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi, Rev.Jain Acharya Dr. Lokesh, and Rev. Kundeling Tatsak Rinpoche inaugurated "Buddham Sharanam Gachhami" exhibition

New Delhi, 12 May (VNI) The Indian Ministry of Culture recently held an exhibition named "Buddham Sharanam Gachhami" at the National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi. The event was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Culture Mrs. Meenakshi Lekhi, along with two prominent religious figures, Jain Acharya Dr. Lokeshji and Rev. Kundeling Tatsak Rinpoche.The exhibition saw a large turnout of Buddhism followers.
 
In her address, Mrs.Meenakshi Lekhi stressed the relevance of Buddhist teachings in today's world, especially the values of kindness, love, and forgiveness. She also emphasized the role of these values in building a better society. 

Acharya Lokeshji added that the teachings of Lord Buddha and Lord Mahavira focus on non-violence and compassion, which can help establish peace and goodwill in the world.

Kundeling Tatsak Rinpoche  of Drepung Gomang Monastery, spoke about Lord Buddha's teachings and how they can help people overcome dissatisfaction and find true happiness. Rinpoche highlighted that ignorance is the root cause of suffering, and Lord Buddha's teachings aim to help people attain satisfaction by overcoming ignorance.

The exhibition showcased various Buddhist artifacts, paintings, and sculptures that provided a glimpse into the rich history and culture of Buddhism. It was an excellent opportunity for Buddhism followers to come together and celebrate their faith.

Overall, the "Buddham Sharanam Gachhami" exhibition launch was a significant event that highlighted the importance of Buddhism and its teachings in creating a more compassionate and kind society. The exhibition will remain open to the public until the end of the month, allowing people to learn more about this ancient and fascinating religion.
