UP, 29 OCT, (Anupma jain/VNI) In the serene embrace of the historical Jambudweep temple complex in Hastinapur, Uttar Pradesh, gentle sunlight bathed the surroundings on this special day dedicated to honoring outstanding students from the Jain community, and among these jewels a rare jewel was also awarded this year's prestigious Young Jaina Awards , awarded by "Maitree Samooh." an organization that is rooted in Jain philosophy and inspired by revered saint Vatsalya Munishree Kshama Sagar Ji Maharaj, a devoted disciple of Acharya Bhagvan Vidya Sagar Ji Maharaj.
The divine Jambudweep temple complex in historical place of UP, Hastinapur is bathed in gentle, temperate sunlight, illuminating the surroundings. Today, is the day when this sacred space serves as the backdrop to honor the exceptionally accomplished students of the Jain community by "Maitri Samooh."
Inside this grand temple complex, as you step into this hall, you'll feel an unique aura of celestial Sun spreading inspiration with its radiant beams, much like the other suns in our solar system. One such sparkling jewel is Pankaj Jain, hailing from an ordinary family in the town of Lalsot, Dausa district of Rajasthan. Despite facing severe physical challenges from birth,( Pankaj's lower body is not fully developed) he possesses boundless talent
Pankaj's life journey has been a tapestry of challenges, yet his voice resonates with confidence, and his outlook on life is infused with optimism, delivering a powerful message to all who have the privilege to meet him. His presence at this year's Young Jaina Awards ceremony within the sprawling 30-acre temple complex was nothing short of uplifting. This sacred space, adorned with a natural ambiance and a profound sense of divine tranquility, stands as a testament to the wisdom of the eminent scholar Aryika Gyanmati Mata Ji, brought to fruition under the able guidance of Rev Aryika Chandana Mata Ji and Revd. Ravindra Keerti Ji. Pankaj, among the distinguished awardees, shone brightly that day.
Due to his disability, Pankaj pursued his studies from the confines of his home. Currently, he is studying CA course, having achieved over 90 percent in his 12th-grade examinations and 100% in tenth grade. Pankaj's condition prevents him from sitting unaided, relying on his father or a benevolent supporter to carry him. Yet, his resolve is unyielding, and his determination to carve out a place in society, despite confronting numerous obstacles, is unparalleled.
It was truly uplifting experience to witness the commendable students receiving recognition at this year's Young Jaina Awards ceremony.
Shobhna Jain, a renowned senior journalist and President of the India's only women journalist association IWPC, graced the occasion as the chief guest. She emphasized that these students serve as a source of inspiration not only for their families, jain community, nation their families but they are light house who have the potential of global leaders, urging those who may have faced setbacks not to lose heart. She encouraged them to keep forging ahead towards their goals, as there are plenty of wonderful opportunities awaiting them.
Prabha Kiran, the other Chief Guest, drew from the wisdom of Muni Kshamasagar by sharing insightful quotes and stressing the importance of diligence and progress to the students.
Pankaj, harbors lofty aspirations and is steadily soaring towards them. His ambition is to pursue a career in administrative services after completing his CA. Pankaj greatly admires the renowned scientist, researcher, and author Stephen Hawking, who grappled with full-body paralysis throughout his life and relied solely on the capabilities of a small device known as a Voice Synthesizer to communicate. Despite the immobility of all his limbs, Stephen operated the device using a minute muscle on his cheek.
Pankaj harbors no regrets in life despite his physical disability. He dedicates ample time to his studies, and occasionally, he lightens the mood with jokes among his friends. However, the focal point of their conversations typically revolves around academics. He makes regular visits to the temple and nurtures a strong desire to have the blessed sight of his revered Guru Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Maharaj J, under the guidance of Kshama Sagar Muni Ji. The enduring message from Kshama Sagar Muni Ji serves as a constant wellspring of strength, urging Pankaj to stay resolute in his pursuit.
He also cherishes a longing to receive the blessings of Bade Maharaj. When reflecting on the past challenges, Pankaj wears a smile and recounts that during the COVID-19 lockdown, he initially feared his studies and life would come to a standstill. It was during this time that his sister Prerna played a pivotal role in ensuring his education continued. Pankaj acknowledges his parents as his unwavering pillars of support, and the respect he receives from society fortifies his determination.
This Year, around 200 accomplished students were honored by these awards. Additionally, young individuals who have exemplified service-oriented ideals in their respective fields were also recognized. The Maitri Samooh is a true embodiment of Jain philosophy, emphasizing moral values, mutual harmony, and a cooperative spirit. Since its inception in 2001, this group, some of the families' association is now fourth generation, definitely a symbol of maintaining a strong sense of unity. Everyone, regardless of background, is treated with equality and without discrimination. The group transcends the realm of politics, with members quietly and diligently carrying out their assigned responsibilities.
From founding senior members like Yogendra Jain ji, Nisha didi, Atul Jain to the newer generation including Sujas, Reshu, Subodh, Meenal, Amit, Aastha, Surabhi and Pratiti. List is endless these are just a few representative names among a much longer list. Workers associated with the group hail from various parts of the country and even abroad. They are all professionals experts in their field but try to actively associated with Samooh through out the year. Over the course of its 28-year existence, the group has awarded awards to 21,000 bright students, and within this framework
Pankaj's aspirations reach for the sky; he is in a constant state of pursuit. Achieving a position in administrative services after completing his CA is another cherished goal. He envisions a life characterized by personal contentment, bringing joy to his parents and sister, and dutifully fulfilling his responsibilities and also wants to work for specially challenged . His aspiration is to leave a mark on the world, one that will forever associate his parents' names with his own.
